Getting Started
When you first open Mindkraft, a short tour walks you through the core idea. You then choose: Quick Start — creates a set of ready-made activities — or Build My Own to start from scratch. Either way, you can edit or delete everything later. Your progress saves to the cloud every time you complete an activity.
Dimensions → Paths → Activities
Everything is organised in three layers. Dimensions are big life areas (e.g. Health, Career). Inside each, Paths are specific approaches (e.g. Morning Fitness). Inside each Path, Activities are the concrete daily actions that earn XP (e.g. Run 5km). Create these in My Activities using the + button.
Completing Activities & Earning XP
The My Activities tab shows what's due today. Tap any card to mark it done — XP floats up as confirmation. A small undo button appears if you tap by mistake. Long-press a card to edit, delete, view history, or configure it. Activity slots unlock as you level up: L1 = 4, growing quickly.
Frequency Types
Daily — resets every day, builds streaks. Occasional — any day, no streak pressure; can auto-delete after completion. Weekly / Bi-weekly / Monthly — periodic windows with streaks. Custom — set a day interval or pick specific weekdays.
Card Types & Views
Toggle between List and Grid view on the My Activities header. In Grid mode, long-press any card to choose from 7 card layouts — including a full-width feature row. Your layout choices are saved automatically.
Daily Planner
Open the Daily Planner from the My Activities header to schedule activities at specific times. Tap + Add, pick any activity or write a note, toggle Recurring to repeat daily. Completing a planned item awards XP just like the main list.
Streaks, Shields & Bonus XP
Consistent completions build your streak. From streak 5 onward you earn exponential bonus XP — streak 10 ≈ 4×, streak 30 ≈ 17× base XP. Streak Shields (up to 3) absorb missed days so one slip doesn't reset everything. Shields regenerate over time.
Levelling & Dimensions
You have a global level plus a separate level per Dimension. Levelling speed uses the formula round(k × (2L − 1)) — adjust k in Level Scaling. Dimension levels unlock cosmetic rewards. Negative XP can drain within a level but can never de-level you.
Challenges
A Challenge is a head-to-head wager with a friend. Both of you stake Grit into a pot, agree on which activities count and how many times, and the first to finish takes the whole pot plus bonus XP. Decline or let an invite expire and every stake goes home.
Friends & Social
Add friends in the Friends tab using their MK-XXXX code (find yours in the Add Friend section). View their level, spider chart, and top activities. Share your progress with a Share Card on level up.
Spider Chart & Life Balance
Your Profile shows a spider chart across five categories: Body, Mind, People, Work, Extra. Go to Profile → Configure Chart to assign activities to categories. The chart updates live and shows on friends' profile cards.
Analytics
The Analytics tab shows XP over time. Use Cumulative vs Daily views, overlay any dimension/path/activity with Compare, and toggle Hide Overall to compare overlays directly. Below: Activity Calendar, full History, XP & streak leaderboards, frequency charts, dimension progress.
Themes
Pick your look in Settings — a focused Dark mode or a clean, airy Light mode. Hit Apply Theme to persist. Custom theming — every colour, glow, and gradient under your control — is coming soon.
Backup & Data
Mindkraft auto-creates a cloud backup every time you save. Hit Backup Now for an immediate snapshot. Use Restore Backup to roll back. Export a full JSON file and Import it on any device. Works across all your devices.
Rewards & Profile
Tap your avatar to open Profile — set a username, view stats, and define Rewards tied to level milestones. Rewards also unlock on Dimension levels. Your character title evolves based on your most-invested category. A special surprise awaits at Level 100.
Negative Activities & Skip Penalty
Activities can award negative XP for habits you want to break. The Skip Penalty option auto-deducts XP the next time you open the app after missing a day — great for hard accountability. Penalties appear clearly in your Activity History.
8.5
5 — easier20 — harder
Formula: round(k × (2L − 1)) XP to advance each level.
Changing this recalculates your level from your total XP. Your earned XP is never lost — only the thresholds shift.
1.2
0.5 — gentler2.0 — explosive
Formula: 1 + 0.1 × streake (kicks in at streak ≥ 5).
At e = 1.5 (default): streak 10 = ×4.2, streak 20 = ×9.4.
Lower e to keep bonuses modest; raise it to reward long streaks more heavily.
This changes how future streak bonuses are calculated. Past XP is unaffected — only new completions use the updated formula.

Daily Cloud Backup — Your data is snapshotted once per day to your account's cloud storage (not just this browser). Works across devices. Only the latest daily snapshot is kept.
Completing a linked activity here logs XP and streaks exactly as on the main screen — nothing is duplicated. This quest's bonus XP pays out in one lump sum when the whole quest is complete.

Your quest needed steps you don't already track, so these were created as real activities — they earn XP, keep a streak, and count toward your week. Rename, reword or remove any of them now.
Quests
Turn a big goal into a quest
An Activity is one repeatable action. A Challenge is a wager against a friend. A Quest is a structured body of work built from groups you move through — checklists, sequences, or repeating pipelines — “where is this, and what’s next?”
Example — a YouTube channel
Research›Script›Shoot›Edit›Publish
Set it to repeat weekly, and each finished run seals a cycle — “Cycle 12 shipped,” paying its bonus XP in one lump sum. Finish early without everything done and you keep the run, but skip the bonus.

How activities work
Activities, XP & Streaks
Base XP
Pick how hard the habit is. Easy for low-effort actions (drink water), Medium for daily disciplines (workout), Hard for serious effort (deep work). XP grows with your streak.
Frequency
How often the activity should appear. Daily shows every day; Custom lets you set "every 3 days" or "Mon/Wed/Fri". Occasional is for one-offs.
Streaks
Every consecutive completion grows your streak. Streaks add a multiplier to your XP — consistency pays compound interest.
Advanced setup
Pick a Dimension & Path to organise it, or leave it as Uncategorized. Allow multiple completions per day, or set negative XP for bad habits you want to break.
Start with one or two activities. You can always edit or delete them later.
